Rehabilitation is all the therapeutic actions implemented by the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team so that the person may regain its maximum functionality and autonomy and return to its family, social and work environment.

It can help you regain, maintain and/or improve the abilities you need in your everyday life. These abilities may be physical, mental and/or cognitive (thought and learning).

Neurological Rehabilitation

During the last years, an increase has been noted in the percentage of neurological diseases.

Our nervous system is the foundation of understanding, feelings, memory and mobility. Its normal operation may be affected by various disorders such as:

  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Motor disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s disease)
  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Injuries of the bronchial mesh
  • Injuries of the sciatic nerve
  • Brain vascular stroke
  • Dementia
  • Alzheimer disease
  • Polyneuropathy
  • Myopathy
  • Gullain Barre syndrome
  • Epilepsy etc.

“Scientific and technological innovations have led to results that were previously deemed impossible for patients with neurological disorders!”

Panagiotis Vrentas

Orthopedical Rehabilitation

The loss of motor freedom due to a muscle – skeletal injury or an orthopedic surgery can pose difficulties in everyday life and activity of a person.

Situations like lumbago, neck pain, muscle injuries – fractures as well as more complex situations such as ruptures during the post-operational phase or not are now usual issues for the general population!

A more spherical approach when treating the needs of each patient is the key point for a faster and more effective recuperation.

  • Sport injury
  • Upper or lower limb operation
  • Amputation
  • Fracture
  • Vertebral column fracture
  • Knee arthritis

Neurosurgical Rehabilitation

After a surgery to the brain or the vertebral column, the patient usually needs time to return to everyday life routines. In many cases, motor deficiencies of the patient that may precede the surgery, require the intervention of the rehabilitation team.

The time required to recover motor abilities to maximum after such a surgery is different for every individual and depends on:

  • The surgery nature
  • The damage position in the brain
  • The areas of the brain affected by the surgery
  • The age and general health of the patient

Rehabilitation of Respiratory Disorders

During a day, 8,000 to 9,000 liters of inhaled come into contact with 8,000 to 10,000 liters of blood sent from the heart to the lungs via the pulmonary artery.

This massively-sized operation of the lungs allows the removal of many useless substances from our body while providing fresh oxygen which returns to the heart through the pulmonary vein to be sent back to our body.

Many factors such as environmental, genetic, hereditary or even a combination of these may affect lungs and promote various diseases.

The scientific team at PALLADION combines innovative therapies and machinery aiming to improve your respiratory operation, thus your quality of life.

With the help from our scientific team, patients improve their respiratory function and witness their everyday life having a wind of change!’
